Ballaugh Heritage Trust welcomes Friends of MNH to 'A trip out to Ballaugh'.

Visit the last remaining goods shed on the Northern Line and an exhibition on Ballaugh which focuses on the building of the Northern Railway. A member of the Trust will give a short talk.

Afterwards, at 12.00, either visit Ballaugh Old and New Church and complete the St Mary's de Ballaugh Church Trail, or take part in a guided walk up to Glen Dhoo and The Purt. Parking is available at the plantation car park above the Ravensdale Castle, Ballaugh Glen. Walking boots or wellies are advised - the walk is not arduous.

Refreshments are available nearby from the Spar Shop or The Raven Hotel.

Directions - Turn at Ballaugh Bridge towards Jurby and the shore. The goods shed is on the right hand side before the Parish Hall and New Church - you will see the gates from the old railway crossing.
